As part of our Annual Winter exhibition, we will be holding an Illustration Festival on Saturday 26th November, from 11:00am – 5:00pm. Join us for tea and cake with Shirley Hughes and Angela Barrett at the Illustrationcupboard, where throughout the day we will have live music and a children’s reading corner. There will also be a chance to win signed books and prints in our charity raffle in aid of Amnesty International.

Continuing our celebrations for 30 Years of Alfie, at 3:00pm Shirley Hughes will be signing copies of her new book, All About Alfie, and Angela Barrett will be signing copies of the newly re-released best-seller, The Orchard Book of Stories From the Ballet.

Tea, orange juice and other seasonal refreshments will be served.

Entrance is free. All are most welcome.

Alfie is the boy who never grows old, yet this year sees his 30 birthday! Illustrationcupboard is delighted to join the celebrations and present, with Shirley Hughes, a celebratory Alfie exhibition. A rare combination of artwork available for purchase, from Shirley's own collection as well as some very personal loan pieces will be on view. There will also be some of her families original soft toys to see that feature in all of her Alfie books!

Illustrationcupboard is delighted to present Toucan and Friends, a selection of still-lifes, landscapes and portraits by Romi Behrens. Inspired by the light and colour of coastal Cornwall Romi has been at the centre of the contemporary Cornish movement for almost five decades.

Lauren Child will be at the gallery on Wednesday 15th December to sign her new Charlie and Lola Book - 'Slightly Invisible.' 5.30pm - 8.00pm
