Showcase: The Art of Brian Wildsmith
The Illustration Cupboard is proud to present for the first time in Britain an exhibition dedicated to the artwork of Brian Wildsmith.

One of the leading figures of the 1960’s generation of ground breaking illustrators Brian Wildsmith’s full colour artwork heralded a new era in picture book production. His phenomenal ABC was published in 1962 and won The Kate Greenaway Medal, it has been hugely influential ever since. This showcase event will feature original work and editions produced, signed and numbered by Brian Wildsmith himself. Artwork will include book work but also independent paintings never before seen outside The Brian Wildsmith Museum of Art in Japan.

In a special appearance Brian Wildsmith will be travelling to London and in attendance at the gallery to meet, greet and sign. Entrance to this unique event is free and families are most welcome. Books will be available for purchase.
